Covid -19 Update

Club will open as of 1st September 2021

You will recall that we were unable to operate during the 2020/21 season due to government legislation that effectively prevented venues from renting out their rooms.

Now that all restrictions have been lifted it has been left to the venue to put into place such safety regulations as they see fit.

The following measures in place at present:

  • Queuing outside the building for all classes or meetings,
  • All hirers are to continue sanitising touch-points after their sessions,
  • Attendees should still wash hands/use hand sanitiser on arrival & departure (sanitiser should still be provided by group leaders),
  • Everyone (unless exempt) should continue to wear masks/face coverings when in common areas of the building (including the toilets and kitchen),
  • Hirers should ensure that spaces they are using are well ventilated by opening windows etc,
  • People should be encouraged not to congregate in common areas of the building. In particular, we ask that in the toilets and kitchen limits of 2-3 people at any one time are adhered to.

A revised risk assessment detailing the above will be issued in the next few days and we will obviously continue to monitor the situation over the coming weeks.

We look forward to seeing you all back at Chislehurst Chess Club in September
